I love a good challenge.
Honestly, who doesn’t?!
For me, challenges are a way to focus on something specific. A few weeks ago, I participated in a few challanges. Meditation, future business, and energy work. (Morning Meditation)
It was wonderful! It helped sort some things out. Prioritize. And, I felt greeeaaat! (Tony the Tiger just popped in my head there! 😂)
D’you know what happened next?
I went on vacation!
I’m so blessed to have my Partner In Adventure. It was a spur of the moment, weekend trip to Dublin! It was so much fun. (Details to come soon!)
What happens when you go on vacation?
❕Routines go out the window
❕ Too busy preparing
❕ Distracted by new adventures
❕Exhausted by the end
Don’t get me wrong, it is totally worth it! I love my life of travel adventures! It makes it hard to stick with a routine. I was doing so well. Over 15 days in a row of at least one meditation a day.
Vacation time, though?
We’ve been home a few days now. I’m finally over the exhaustion. I love to fly, but spending a whole day in airports and on planes can wear a girl out.
While we were flying, I reread some of The Reiki Manual. A gift from Kathy Craig at my first Reiki attunement. This is a book I will probably reread a thousand times. As my experience grows, I learn new things that I may have missed before.
In the book, it has many things to say about Distant Reiki and various ways to use it. One of the ways, is Self Reiki on your future self! What’s that, you say?! Intriguing…
I rarely do Self Reiki at night. I should. I have difficulty falling asleep. It’s not the easiest thing with my Partner In Adventure right next to me though.
So….here’s my Self Reiki Challenge to myself. Please, join me, if you feel so inclined.
When I wake in the morning, after doing the necessary things (bathroom, kiss the Partner In Adventure goodbye with his prepared lunch, make tea), I’m going to sit down and do a little Distant Reiki on my future self.
Every morning, for the next seven days, I’m sending Distant Reiki to myself, with the intention of me receiving it as I drift off to sleep. I’m imagining a tiny, little me inside my hands in Gassho position. Then seeing my hands placed in the various positions as if I were doing it in person. This lasts for about 20 minutes.
I did this for the first time this morning. It was interesting. I have never shared Distant Reiki with my future self before. I could feel Reiki moving through me. I know that Reiki moves through the practitioner as they share it with others. It was just a bit disconcerting, as I was sharing it with my future self. I imagine as the week goes on, I will get better.
Please, join me in my little quest to get back in my meditation and Self Reiki routine! I will post a few updates over the next week.
